20% VAT Scrapped on all wedding albumshttp://www.randelljohnphotography.com/20-vat-scrapped-wedding-albums/
Earlier this year ‘Trueprint’ Laboratories, won an unprecedented high court case against the U.K government, claiming that the Value Added Tax (VAT), that all wedding album manufacturers had to charge, was unfair and biased against their industry. The fact that all other printed books were exempt, was enough for the high court to rule in Trueprint’s favour.
As of February 2012, VAT has now been scrapped, on all album products.
This is exceptionally good news for the photography industry as a whole, and welcome news for couples getting married, who are looking to save on their overall costs.
